- Smoking harms every aspect of your health and will detract from your results. Please do not smoke or use nicotine products for at least 48 hours before and after your peel.
- Follow your pre-procedure protocol, as determined during your consultation. For example, avoid blood-thinning medications, anti-inflammatory drugs, or herbal supplements that may increase bleeding for three to six days.
- Avoid prolonged sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanning products for at least two weeks.
- Do not use skin care products that contain retinol, vitamin A, AHAs, or glycolic acids for at least a week.

What to Expect on the Day of Your Glendale Peel Treatment
Come to your appointment with clean, moisturized, makeup-free skin. You’ll meet with our aesthetic specialists to review the details of your chemical or laser peel and answer last-minute questions.
VI Peel
VI Peels unfold in two stages. First, the peel targets the skin’s surface and penetrates the dermis. Your provider will leave the solution on your skin for several minutes before neutralizing it. Patients usually feel a mild tingling or warming sensation, but the process is generally well-tolerated.
Once the solution dries on your skin, you can leave and resume your usual day. For best results, wait at least four hours before washing your skin with a mild cleanser and using the post-peel towelettes and cream designed to speed cell turnover.

There is no downtime necessary after a carbon peel treatment. Redness, slight bruising, or swelling will gradually subside over the next few hours to days.
